AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Taylor Jones had 19 points and 12 rebounds, Amina Muhammad added 14 points and 14 boards, and No. 13 Texas began its season with an 80-35 victory over Southern on Wednesday night.Texas jumped out to a 21-7 lead after the first quarter as Southern made just 3 of 8 shots and turned it over nine times. HONOLULU (AP) — A federal jury on Wednesday found a man not guilty of assaulting a woman at a U.S. research station in Antarctica in a case that drew attention amid reports of harassment and assault at the station.Stephen Tyler Bieneman pulled tissues from a box on the defense table and cried as each juror was polled and said they found him not guilty of misdemeanor assault in connection with an incident last November at McMurdo Station. Aurora shooting, armed robbery attempt under investigation

DENVER (KDVR) — Police in Aurora were investigating Wednesday night whether a gunshot victim is linked to an attempted armed robbery at a business.A male transported himself to an urgent care center with a gunshot wound in his arm, according to the Aurora Police Department. Earlier, around 7:30 p.m., an attempted armed robbery happened at a business near East Mississippi Avenue and Ironton Street. Teen shot near East High still struggling over a year later
