2 professors killed in UNLV campus shooting identified

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- The four people shot on campus at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Wednesday, three of whom have died, have all been identified as faculty members.Two of the three people who were killed have been identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as Professor Cha Jan "Jerry" Chang, 64, of Henderson, Nevada, and Assistant Professor Patricia Navarro Velez, 39, of Las Vegas.According to the coroner, the cause of death for Chang was a gunshot wound to the head. The cause of death for Velez was multiple gunshot wounds. The third deceased victim has been identified but a name has not been released. The coroner's office is working to identify the legal next of kin. A fourth person is still being treated for injuries at the hospital. Chang had been teaching at UNLV since 2001, most recently at the Lee Business School. US Postal Service offering up to $150K for Leander robbery suspects

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Thursday, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service issued a reward of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest of two suspects wanted in a robbery that happened in Leander, according to a news release from USPS.At approximately 9 a.m. Monday, USPS said the robbery happened in the 2000 block of Lucky Lane.On Thursday, the U.S. Postal Service said it was searching for two suspects in reference to a robbery that happened in Leander earlier this week | Images courtesy USPSThe suspects are described as two Black men, who are approximately 6 feet, with skinny builds and wearing dark hoodies and dark face coverings. Rockport police chief announced as new TCOLE executive director

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Thursday, the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) announced Chief Gregory Stevens as the agency's executive director, which is effective Jan. 8, 2024, according to a news release from TCOLE.Stevens served most recently as the Chief of Police of the Rockport Police Department, according to TCOLE. St. Paul officer, suspect wounded in shooting, police say

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany Police Department announced they are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon.
