The Israeli military intensified airstrikes in Gaza including near its largest hospital, and another hospital was damaged by bombardment close by. Thousands of people desperate for food and basic items broke into aid warehouses in the besieged enclave. Internet and phone connectivity were restored for many people on Sunday after Israeli strikes had knocked out most communications in the territory late Friday. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Saturday a “second stage” in the 3-week-old war and said Israel is determined to bring back 229 hostages taken by the militant group during its deadly Oct. 7 incursion. Four of the hostages have been released.The Palestinian death toll passed 8,000, most of them women and children, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza. SANTA CLARA — Lenny Moore has some company in the record books.Christian McCaffrey scored a touchdown in his 17th straight game including playoffs Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals at Levi’s Stadium.With 3:19 left in the first quarter, McCaffrey scored on a 2-yard run to camp a 75-yard drive in eight plays, taking 4:52 off the clock and tying the score 7-7.McCaffrey came in one touchdown behind Moore after scoring two touchdowns in last week’s 22-17 road loss to the Minnesota Vikings. In 21 games including the one in each of the 49ers’ three playoff games last season, McCaffrey came having scored 21 touchdowns. He arrived on Oct. 20 of last season.The streak began on Dec. 4 of last season, catching a 3-yard pass from Brock Purdy in a 33-17 win over MIami. (KRON) – The Santa Rosa Police Department announced parking and street closures for downtown on Oct. 31.According to Santa Rosa PD, vehicle traffic will not be permitted from Pacific Avenue from Water Street to Laurel Street. These streets will be closed from noon Oct. 31 until Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. No parking will be permitted at City Lot 12.
