BURNLEY, England (AP) — Liverpool moved to the top of the Premier League with a 2-0 win at Burnley on Tuesday. Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota scored in either half at Turf Moor and Jurgen Klopp’s team moved two points clear of second-place Arsenal, having played a game more. Nunez ended a 12-game scoring drought for Liverpool with a goal in the sixth minute — his first since Nov. 1.After having a number of chances to extend its lead, Liverpool made certain of the points through substitute Jota in the 90th. Liverpool went into the game after draws against Manchester United and Arsenal had denied it the chance to take first place at Christmas. With Arsenal not in action until its game against West Ham on Thursday, the Merseyside team had another opportunity to go top. Nunez put his team on course for victory with a first-time curled finish from around 25 yards (meters).Liverpool dominated the chances and Mohamed Salah hit the bar with one effort in the first half, while Cody Gakpo ...Hallan restos humanos de un niño desaparecido en Virginia en 2003

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Trevor Siemian will start a second consecutive game at quarterback for the New York Jets with Zach Wilson still in the concussion protocol.Coach Robert Saleh ruled Wilson out Tuesday as the Jets prepare to face the Browns in Cleveland on Thursday night.Siemian was 27 of 49 for 217 yards with a touchdown pass to Jason Brownlee and an interception in New York’s 30-28 victory over Washington on Sunday. He was 3 for 5 for 26 yards while helping lead the Jets on their final drive that was capped by Greg Zuerlein’s winning 54-yard field goal.“Trev did some nice things in the game,” Saleh said. “He’s got so much play time under his belt, so it was great to just have a conversation with him and his recognition that he could’ve even done better. New video shows the moment before gunfire erupted in a Brockton neighborhood Monday morning, leaving bullet holes in the siding of one local home. Brockton police said the shooting happened on Tilton Avenue around 3 a.m. Later speaking with 7NEWS, neighbors said a large party was underway.“I heard six shots,” said one person who did not want to show her face on camera. “It sounded like six shots. And it wasn’t fireworks, because I’ve heard fireworks before.” In the wake of this incident, the same person said she is now on edge in the place she calls home. “I don’t feel safe right now, because I’m right across the street,” she said. “It’s right in front of me.”Surveillance video from the area shows a fight break out in a Tilton Avenue driveway just before 3 a.m. Minutes later, people can be seen running from the scene. Soon after, police arrive. Area resident Renee Toomey said she was “sound asleep” at the time. “We did sort of wake up to some noise, but...18-year-old appears in court in connection with weekend shooting outside Stoughton convenience store

An 18-year-old from Stoughton appeared in court Tuesday to face charges after police said he was arrested in connection with a shooting outside a local convenience store. The shooting happened on Saturday in the area of Central Street and Greenwood Avenue. Stoughton police in an initial statement said officers responded to a report of shots fired and obtained a description of a suspect fleeing the area. Police said officers later found Francois near a condominium complex. In court, officials said Francois was in a car with another person before the shooting. Officials said Francois allegedly later got out and shot into the car. “He eventually admitted that he was meeting someone to purchase marijuana who he had not met before,” a prosecutor said. Police said video showed Francois leaving the scene with a gun in hand. One person was subsequently treated at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro for a gunshot wound related to the shooting, officials said. Where the ...Fog Tonight, Rain Tomorrow

Fog was pretty dense last night and into this morning and watch for that fog to return again tonight. In fact it’s already started to form in some spots. It may not be quite as dense or widespread as last night but still foggy nonetheless. Temperatures will fall to the upper 30s tonight.Tomorrow, unlike today, will start with a few hints of sun before being dominated by clouds for much of the day and a few spotty showers. For much of the day, rain will remain widely scattered. So spotty showers will take us until about sunset (now 4:18pm) and then the rain becomes more widespread after that.Once the steady rain starts in the late afternoon and evening, it will rain all evening and night long. The rain will not be as heavy as the last few storm systems and will fall over a much longer period of time. When everything is said and done, we’ll end up with about an inch of rain give or take a few tenths on either side. The future radar screenshots below show the spotty showers ...Americans ramped up spending during the holidays

Disney is accusing the Gov. Ron DeSantis-aligned tourism oversight district of violating Florida’s public records law by failing to properly preserve documents and turn them over in a timely manner, opening another front in an ongoing legal feud. The entertainment giant filed a lawsuit Friday against the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District and asked an Orange County circuit judge to set an immediate hearing and order the documents to be released.“CFTOD has prevented Disney from discovering the actions of its government through public records requests, in violation of Florida law,” Disney’s lawyers wrote in the court filing.A tourism oversight district spokesman did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Tuesday. In February, DeSantis replaced five Disney loyalists on the district’s board with Republican allies as part of a new state law overhauling the special district that provides government services to Disney World.DeSantis puts GOP donor, Moms for Liberty found...Latest news
