A Jefferson County man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for the shooting death of his wife.Scott Lee Smith II, 47, was sentenced Wednesday for the 2020 death of 46-year-old Kanokwan “Nok” Smith, according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.On Feb. 9, Smith pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and the 30-year sentence was part of the plea agreement, the DA’s office said in a news release.On Nov. 1, 2020, Smith called 911 “claiming he had just shot his wife in self-defense at their home” in the 5400 block of West Ottawa Avenue, the release said. Smith told a dispatcher that Kanokwan had tried to kill him with a butcher knife. Broncos releasing trio of veterans, create more than $26 million in cap space on eve of free agency

As free agency approaches, Denver is creating salary cap space to use.The Broncos are releasing offensive lineman Graham Glasgow, running back Chase Edmonds and cornerback Ronald Darby, sources confirmed to The Post, and creating approximately $26.57 million in salary cap room for 2023 in the process.Each were considered logical candidates for either release or contract restructuring.Glasgow carried a $14 million cap charge in 2023 but had no guaranteed money left in his deal. A man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of a teen who was waiting for his mom to pick him up last week, as well as the attempted murder of second victim, officials announced Friday.David Anthony Zapata, 32, faces one count each of murder and attempted murder with the special allegation of personally using a deadly and dangerous weapon, a knife, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.Loved ones mourn Xavier Chavarin at an El Sereno memorial on March 7, 2023. New souvenir shop opens in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland Park

A new souvenir shop in Mickey's Toontown at Disneyland park opened its doors for the first time on Friday. EngineEar Souvenirs is located at the exit of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway in Mickey's Toontown. The shop opened on Friday ahead of the reimagined land's official reopening on March 19. The initial assortment of merchandise includes headbands, T-shirts, ornaments, coffee mugs, a remote control car, and magnets. The store will sell additional items when the cartoon-themed land, which features Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin, Mickey’s House, Minnie’s House, and the new dark ride, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, officially opens later this month. (KRON) -- Meta, the parent company of Facebook, is considering plans to release a microblogging app that would be an alternative to Twitter, according to a report in Moneycontrol. The platform, which is code-named "P92," according to the report, would use data of all Instagram users, regardless of whether they opted in to being part of it.
