‘It’s incredible’: Survivor of Stow plane crash speaks while recovering at hospital

STOW, Massachusetts (WBZ) — One of the survivors of last week’s plane crash in Stow is speaking out.Robert Bauer was a passenger on the plane being flown by his brother. The plane crashed between homes while he was trying to land at Minute Man Air Field. Robert’s daughter was also onboard and all three survived the crash with injuries.The plane was returning to Massachusetts after picking up Bauer’s daughter in Lake Placid, New York, where she was coaching at a hockey camp.Bauer said he’s grateful for the team at UMass Memorial Medical Center.“Never mind that I should be alive, I shouldn’t be able to walk. But thanks to them, I’ve got full mobility,” said Bauer. “I could dance if I tried. It’s incredible, you know?”Bauer’s expected to be released from the hospital on Sunday and his daughter and brother are still being treated.

House GOP chairmen announce probe into Hunter Biden plea deal

(CNN) — Three House GOP chairmen sent a letter Monday to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding documents and information regarding circumstances related to Hunter Biden’s plea deal with the Justice Department.The Republicans – House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan of Ohio, Oversight Chair James Comer of Kentucky and Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith of Missouri – are also requesting a Justice Department briefing over the Hunter Biden probe.The announcement marks the latest line of inquiry by House Republicans connected to the president and his family. Sweden weighs tighter border controls after Quran burnings

Sweden’s prime minister is considering tightening border controls over security concerns after recent Quran-burning controversies.“As everyone knows, we have a complicated security situation both in and around Sweden,” Prime Minster Ulf Kristersson said during a press conference Tuesday. “We are in daily contact with the Swedish intelligence services at the moment. The stage is set in Foxboro where Beyoncé is scheduled to take the stage at Gillette Stadium Tuesday night for her first local show since 2018. Beyoncé will be making her fourth appearance in Foxboro as she brings her Renaissance tour to town.As fans prepare for the concert, crews were making final preparations on Monday, setting up the stage and other equipment. Parking lots are scheduled to open for Beyoncé’s show at 4 p.m. The show itself is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. and fans are encouraged to arrive early because there is no opening act. The MBTA Commuter Rail is running a special event train for the concert, scheduled to leave South Station at 4:05 p.m. with a scheduled arrival in Foxboro just after 5 p.m. The train will then depart for Boston 30 minutes after the concert ends. Plainville police investigating series of vehicle break-ins

An investigation continued in Plainville Monday after a series of vehicle break-ins over the weekend, police said. Plainville police said the break-ins happened early Saturday morning. In total, police said they received six reports of unlocked vehicles that had been entered in neighborhoods including the Lincoln Avenue, Pleasant Street and Grove Street areas. In addition to cars, police said two mountain bikes were taken from a driveway. Police shared video on Monday that they said showed two suspects trying to break into vehicles. Police said video also showed suspects stealing the bikes.Plainville police reminded people to lock their cars and either remove or hide any valuables. Anyone who recognizes the people seen in video of these incidents is also asked to reach out by calling police at 508-809-5555.

Overstock officially launches Bed Bath & Beyond domain online in US

NEW YORK (AP) — Overstock has officially relaunched the Bed Bath & Beyond domain online Tuesday in the U.S., after acquiring the bankrupt retail chain’s intellectual property assets for $21.5 million last month.The online retailer Overstock.com said in late June that it was dumping its name online and it will become Bed & Bath & Beyond, which declared bankruptcy earlier this year.
