ST. LOUIS McDonald's is releasing a new limited-edition happy meal for adults, complete with a very special toy.It's a modern take on the beloved McNugget buddy toys of the '80s and '90s. You can choose from a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets or a Big Mac box. The ‘center’ of Missouri isn’t too far from Jefferson City It also comes with fries, a soft drink and, of course, the toy. there are six different buddies that come with mix-and-match outfits.The meals will be available at participating McDonald's starting December 11.

Officers investigating Creve Coeur ATM break-in

CREVE COEUR, Mo. - Police are responding to an ATM break-in in Creve Coeur Thursday morning. The officers got the call around 4:30 a.m. about damage being done to the Enterprise Bank on the 11400 block of Olive. Upon arrival, there were no suspects in the area. The ‘center’ of Missouri isn’t too far from Jefferson City A truck believed to have been used in the attempted burglary was found abandoned nearby. The truck has not been reported stolen at this time.  The police are attempting to contact the owner. Anyone with information is urged to call CrimeStoppers or Creve Coeur Police at 314-737-4600.FOX 2 will update this story with more information as it becomes available.

Xcel Energy to move headquarters from downtown Denver to RiNo in 2025

Xcel Energy-Colorado has pre-leased space in a soon-to-be-completed building in the River North Art District and plans to move out of its headquarters in downtown Denver in 2025.Xcel, Colorado’s largest electric utility, and real estate firms Ivanhoé Cambridge, Hines and McCaffery said Wednesday that the company has pre-leased all the office space at T3 RiNo, a new six-story, mass-timber building. At 220,172 square feet, Xcel Energy will be the largest office tenant in RiNo, according to a statement by the companies.About 1,200 employees will be based at the new headquarters.Work on the building is expected to be completed by the end of the year. T3 RiNo, made of black spruce, is among recent new buildings in the Denver area that are using wood as a way to reduce carbon emissions in construction.Buildings and construction account for about 40% of the global greenhouse-gas emissions, according to RMI, a Colorado-based research and consulting organization focused on environmenta...

Woman shot by police in Koreatown was attacking man with knife: LAPD

A woman who officers say was attacking a man with a knife was shot by police in Koreatown late Wednesday night.An assault with a deadly weapon incident was reported in the 300 block of Kenmore Avenue around 11 p.m."Arriving officers saw a woman attacking a man with a knife and an Officer Involved Shooting occurred," the Los Angeles Police Department tweeted Thursday morning. Mountain High opening for ski and snowboard season

Mountain High announced it is ready to open for the 2023-2024 ski and snowboard season. Season pass holders can ride the slopes as early as 9 a.m. Thursday, the mountain resort says on its website. The general public will be welcomed to the park Friday morning. Night riding will also begin on Friday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.The resort, located at 24510 Hwy. 2 in Wrightwood, is about a 90-minute drive from Los Angeles and Orange County and consists of three separate mountains with West, East and North resorts. Mountain High posted several videos on its Instagram account in celebration of this year's opening. Guests should always check with MtHigh.com for mountain and road conditions before heading up the mountains.

Q: In contrast to many others, I love the road diet on Hillsdale Avenue in San Jose. I cannot drive and cycling is my only method of independent transportation. Making Hillsdale-Capital accessible to bicycles opens up a lot of territory for me.That said, better signage might correct two problems. The first is adjacent to Cherry (Paul Moore) Park where a food truck frequently parks near the bike path. Patrons line up there and block the bike lane and customers park illegally. I don’t wish to cause economic hardship to the vendor or gastronomic hardship to customers, but I suggest that the vendor post a sign (e.g. “Don’t block the bike lane”). The city might also post a sign or restripe the 45-degree angled spaces that people mistake for parking places.The other problem is that some people mistake the dedicated bike lane as an exit from a 24-hour diner.
